About the Opportunity
Art by Sean Day is looking for a high-energy, self-motivated Sales Representative to expand reach within the local community and beyond. Sean Day creates vibrant colorful artwork in several art styles as well as custom murals, and we need a closer who can translate our artistic vision into commercial and residential success.
As an Independent Contractor, you will have the autonomy to build your own pipeline and manage your schedule, acting as the primary bridge between the studio and our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnerships: Identify and pitch local businesses (cafés, boutiques, offices) to host and sell studio merchandise or gallery pieces on consignment.
Mural Sales: Prospect and close high-value mural contracts for both residential and commercial projects.
Direct-to-Consumer Sales: Build relationships with private collectors and interior designers to sell original artwork and commissions.
Lead Generation: Actively scout new opportunities and maintain a healthy sales funnel.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management is strongly preferred but not required.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; you must be comfortable cold-calling, networking in person, and presenting to business owners.
Independence: Since this is a contractor role, you must be a disciplined self-starter who can work without daily oversight.
Passion: A genuine interest in the arts and the ability to speak passionately about the studio’s portfolio.
Compensation
This is a 100% commission-based position.
Probationary Rate: 10% of gross sales earned during the initial period.
Performance will be reviewed after the probationary period for potential commission structure growth.
