A local Starkville, MS manufacturing company is seeking a talented HR Manager to help lead, develop and implement human resources initiatives throughout the facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an exceptional people person who has a strong communication and experience on all areas of human resources including compensation, benefits, staffing, organizational development, employee relations, employee development and performance management in alignment with common human resources strategies and processes. This position has one direct report, an HR Assistant.

What You Get To Do:

Drive the recruitment, pre-screening/testing, selection, process to ensure compliance with Federal & State compliance.

Extends all employment offers and administer the orientation process.

Manage the results based performance management process, training and development programs for the site. Provides coaching and counseling on the need for continuous communication and alignment on objectives and expectations between supervisors and associates.

Partners with leaders on planning and executing robust succession planning in line with corporate HR strategy.

Maintains compliance with Company policies and procedures. Investigates and resolves conflicts by coaching and counseling on human resource matters.

Develops and implements employee relations initiatives including recognition and engagement activities aimed at creating a safe and inclusive working environment that aids in the effectiveness and retention of all associates.

Assists Business/Functional leadership with the administration of the Safety, Health and Compliance Programs. Oversees the Safety and Health Compliance Program. Coordinates the safety inspection audits. Writes safety procedures for associate's jobs to meet federal and state OSHA regulations. Enforces safety policies.

Initiates and conducts labor market research for the availability of human resources in specific trades and professions. Coordinates with appropriate Departmental Supervisors and Managers in required skills, abilities and prevailing wages.

Acts as a project manager for various HR initiatives.

What We Need From You:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources related field and 5+ years equivalent professional work experience.

Employee relocations experience required.

HR Certification is preferred

Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

Must be able to work with tact and discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Must be highly organized and detail oriented and able to function effectively in a multi-task environment.
