Rumsey Environmental is looking for a safety conscious 2nd SHIFT DIESEL MECHANIC to join the team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama .As a key member of our diesel maintenance technicians team, your work as a Diesel Mechanic will focus on the overall maintenance of equipment used by our company in the transportation and handling of vehicles. This will involve, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.The position is 2nd shift -1:00p-11:00p - typically working 10/11 hour days with occasional Saturday work.Why you need to join us!

Job Description:
Performs repairs (including electrical and hydraulic systems) and assigned preventive maintenance services.
Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
The ideal candidate will possess:
2+ years of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair; or completion of accredited vocational technical school program
A safety first mentality in all facets of work
Strong teamwork and communication skills
CDL preferred but not required
Must have own tools
