Job Description
Must Haves:
ASE Electrical Cert
2+ years experience doing electrical diagnostic troubleshooting in the automotive industry
Experience specifically troubleshooting steering columns, exchange engine, and other electrically driven parts of the car
Proven ability to read and understand damage and failure codes
Plusses (NOT REQUIRED):
Experience with diagnostic troubleshooting on European cars (i.e Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, Range Rover, Fiat, or Volvo)
Experience must come from an OEM, or a dealership that sell European cars.
Experience with STAR diagnosis
Experience with EDAC (Enhanced Diagnostic Assistance Center
Experience trouble shooting fully electric cars
US-MB Trained Technician Title
Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking multiple Technicians for an automotive facility in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area. The day to day responsibilities of this role will be to verify production order completeness, compatibility, and accuracy, perform modifications and repairs, responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembling parts, components, engines and drive train components, performs failure analysis and repairs large-scale parts of vehicle, troubleshoots, removes, and reassembles defective parts, assemblies, or sub-assemblies, and build a broad base of knowledge about how vehicle components work and interact as well as the ability to work with electronic diagnostic equipment and computer based reference material.
