Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Technician is responsible for servicing, installing, converting, upgrading and preventative maintenance of all company equipment.
JOB DUTIES
ï· Part of support team sent in to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
ï· Basic understanding of computer networking infrastructure
ï· Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with electronics and peripheral devices
ï· Mechanically inclined; able to use hand tools
ï· Performs preventative maintenance and general maintenance on company hardware
ï· Easily identifies replacement parts
ï· Participate in new installations or removal of old machines
ï· Completes all reports and paperwork
ï· Provides documentation for technical assistance with known problems
ï· Has a good working knowledge of customers policies and procedures prior to performing work orders
ï· Works well with the entire organization and escalates found issues to Field Service Manager
ï· Other tasks and duties, as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
ï· High School diploma or GED required. Experience as a Field Service Technician is desired
ï· Must be at least 21 years old, and able to travel within the US
ï· Working knowledge of AC/DC electronics; can use a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical issues
ï· General problemsolving skills
ï· Excellent Customer Service skills
ï· Understands networking with CAT5/Ethernet
ï· Basic understanding of Windowsbased computer systems
ï· Must be able to move 50 lbs.
