About the role:
This position will be responsible for developing a deep technical understanding of product offerings, interacting with internal teams, evaluating their systems, and designing product integrations. The position will also act as a consultant within internal teams to help create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team.
Lead by example, adopting a "whatever it takes" approach to get the job done, while nurturing a sense of camaraderie, success, and appreciation among the teams. The ideal candidate will bring new insights, creativity and perspectives to our organization.

Responsibilities:
• Drive architecture, software patterns, and standard methodologies across the department.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to application development teams.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive view of current and future state architecture that aligns with business strategy.
• Responsible for translating requirements into design and implementation of well-structured and documented software components.
• Implement new software component designs or enhancements to existing software products; participates in the implementation of more complex subsystems and systems.
• Presents/Participates with team in design reviews and code inspections in a constructive manner.
• Lead technical design reviews and code inspections providing clear, actionable feedback for project team members.
• Ensures compliance to regulatory requirements, quality standards, and conveys an expectation of high software quality.

Ideal Candidate:
• Experience with much of the following:
o Web frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue. Angular experience is a plus.
o Microservice and Event-Driven Architecture. Experience with NServiceBus is a major plus.
o Broad exposure to system integrations, integration patterns, and standard methodologies.
o High level of proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
o Excellent understanding of relational databases. SQL Server is a major plus.
• Secure coding principles.
• Detailed knowledge of software systems development, architecture best practices, and patterns.
• Excellent knowledge of distributed systems principles.
• Must be a servant leader, active mentor, and lead by example.
• Must be willing to present architectures and write/evaluate code in front of others (all levels).
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.

Education and experience required:
• BS/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field or a combination of equivalent education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience building enterprise-quality software.
