ConocoPhillips operates the Kuparuk and Alpine oil fields, has an ownership interest in the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.DescriptionIf you are selected as the Alaska - Sourcing & Contract Specialist you will be assigned a variety of contracts, from strategy development through origination and including maintenance and renewals for the Anchorage Supply Chain Organization. This position will provide ongoing oversight of contracting needs in assigned areas, and respond to sourcing and contracting requirements for the Alaska BU and report to the Drilling and Operations Supply Chain Director.Your responsibilities may include:

Perform contracting activities - reviewing, proposing revisions and implementing agreements using standard documents/forms and contracting procedures

Effectively work with BU Clients and Stakeholders, fellow Supply Chain Staff, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, and Category Managers

Contract authoring utilizing the Company contract tools—managing any language changes through functional review and required approval processes

Analyze suitability of potential suppliers in accordance with Company vendor qualification criteria. Maintains records of approved, current and potential suppliers by commodity or service

Implement contract services in a timely and cost-efficient manner within established company policies, procedures and standards

Coordinate formal RFX for long term commitments and sizable purchases. Performs pre-bid and pre-award meetings. Analyzes suitability of bids dependent on time constraints, cost and quality assurance. Prepares bid evaluations and seeks appropriate approvals of awards

Supplier Performance Management - Ongoing support of the Contract Management Plans and KPI's. Balancing change management and resolution of any claims

Manage an assigned list of Alaska contracts; Plan and coordinate contract needs and recommended strategies to support various client groups

Qualifications:Basic/Required:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee or asylee

Bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain, business or related field or foreign equivalent

3 years supply chain contracting experience

Preferred:

Strong functional background, or working knowledge of COP procurement systems SMART by GEP

1 years of experience with Spotfire or similar type data analytical system

In-depth knowledge and understanding of commercial terms and conditions

Demonstrated ability to develop innovative commercial models focused on supplier delivery

Able to balance large number of contracts in various stages of development in both larger and smaller/local tier

Hardworking with ability to work as part of a Team

Very strong organizational skills in document management and administration

Proven communicator, able to operate efficiently and with transparency in a matrix environment

Contract drafting skills

Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions

Proven negotiation skills & ability to effectively apply analytical tools, concepts and methods

Demonstrated ethical integrity

Flexible and creative approach with willingness to accept change
