RESPEC has an opening for a temporary part-time Water Resources intern in the Water Division in our Anchorage, AK office. This position will be part of our 2027 Summer Internship Program. This position does not offer remote work.The intern will be expected to work alongside our firm's full-time employees to learn how professional services are provided to our clients. This position will support the planning, design, and implementation of various water resources engineering projects. These projects may include work in the fields of stormwater, floodplain management, fish passage design, and regulatory compliance. Interdisciplinary work with environmental science and transportation disciplines may also occur. Our experienced staff will provide mentoring and coaching to the intern to allow development of civil engineering skills and knowledge. Work responsibilities and activities include:Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, calculations, and designArcGIS analysis and figure developmentAutoCAD Civil3D drafting and designApplication of standard engineering techniques and proceduresTechnical memo and report developmentFieldwork, as required by current workloadInvolvement in the summer internship programOther duties as needed
