Chili's Grill & Bar is a locally owned & operated franchise in Anchorage. We take pride in fostering a positive, energetic, and team-oriented environment within our restaurant. Our commitment to excellence and local ownership ensures that we deliver high-quality service and food to our community.
We are currently seeking an energetic and experienced Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere and possess strong leadership skills for both the Front and Back of House operations. This is not a typical 9-5 job. Instead, it requires a high level of flexibility regarding scheduling and days off. The Manager position is primarily for mid to evening shifts, with shift start times ranging from as early as 10:00 AM to as late as 2:30 PM.
Managers are generally scheduled for five consecutive shifts, followed by two consecutive days off. However, both shift times and days off may vary every few weeks. The position requires availability for five days each week, typically totaling 45 hours per week. If a fixed, unchanging schedule is needed, this role may not be suitable.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the General Manager and Co-Managers to oversee all restaurant operations, both in the Front and Back of House.
Ensure the delivery of quality food and provide excellent guest experiences.
Support daily roster and shift management, including ordering supplies, interviewing and hiring candidates, onboarding new employees, ensuring compliance, and coordinating training efforts.
Qualifications
A minimum of three years’ experience in the restaurant industry as a Server or Bartender.
At least one year of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant setting.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Preferred experience with Microsoft Office and the Aloha POS System.
Candidates without restaurant experience will not be considered.
The selected candidate will complete a paid training program lasting six to eight weeks. This is a salaried, exempt position that includes complimentary shift meals, paid time off, and eligibility for a monthly bonus program.
Additional Requirements required before hiring:
A current Alaska-approved Alcohol Serving Card (such as TAPS) is required before starting.
A valid ServSafe Certificate is also necessary prior to beginning employment.
