We seek a unique individual who can confidently handle maintenance and mechanic tasks with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate would embody the traditional concept of a 'handyman' but with a professional approach backed by extensive knowledge, skills, and experience in the field.
Maintenance Job Description: Duties include, but are not limited to, light carpentry, drywall patching, plumbing (basic), painting, installing/repairing windows and doors, yard maintenance (including snow removal), hauling and dump runs, and other maintenance tasks as required).
Mechanic Job Description: Duties include maintenance and light repairs of vans: preventative maintenance (weekly and other scheduled inspections); changing oil; replacing lights and windshield wipers; washing vans; and transporting vans to and from local automotive repair dealer(s).
Administrative Job Description: prioritize work to complete assignments in a timely manner, keep job assignment records in Google Sheets updated at least weekly on progress, and keep track of receipts for items purchased.
As a Handyman, you will be an integral part of our team, working independently after completing training. You must be able to lift 50 pounds safely and possess the strength, balance, and agility to move around (up and down stairs, ladder, confined space, etc.). For insurance reasons, you must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
Other Requirements: Ability to work well with others, a strong work ethic, and ability to develop creative solutions. An engaging and pleasant demeanor is a huge plus!
By regulation(s), the successful applicant must pass a background check, a driving record check, and a pre-employment drug test.
The starting or training wage is a minimum of $24.00 to $30.00 per hour DOE. Full-time employees are offered vacation and holiday pay and a 3% employer-matching retirement program. They are also offered healthcare benefits after 30 days.
