Firm Administrator – Dillon, Findley & Simonian, P.C.– Anchorage
Dillon, Findley & Simonian, P.C., is a dynamic litigation firm that is seeking a Law Firm Administrator for our busy six attorney, five staff office. We have an exciting and diverse practice that represents individuals, corporations, public utilities, and municipalities. The Law Firm Administrator will supervise the efficient operation of our business. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a professional services organization, or proven excellence as an office administrator or other relevant position. The Law Firm Administrator is responsible for payroll, billing clients, and tracking client costs and expenses; relatedly, they monitor the firm’s financial system including time-tracking, billing, trust account management, collections, bookkeeping, expense management and accounts payable. The Law Firm Administrator is responsible for managing and documenting all client or administrative costs and expenses into the firm billing and accounting system.
The Law Firm Administrator manages the firm’s office organization, computer and phone systems, office equipment and necessary supplies; manages vendor selection and negotiations, supervises vendor changes, and maintains relationships with vendors. They will assist the shareholders as needed with human resources functions, including benefits administration such as 401K plan administration.
Leadership and multi-tasking skills are critical for this role and to manage a busy and high-paced law office. Importantly, Law Firm Administrator must observe strict confidentiality in all aspects of the services provided, including a keen approach to professional communication skills for interpersonal and customer service-related interactions.
Qualifications;
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field
Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in a professional services organization, or proven excellence as an office administrator or in other relevant position
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed timely, thoroughly, and correctly
Familiarity with common procedures and basic accounting principles used in the office
Ability to learn and train on new software platforms
On-the-job experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Office 365, as well as bookkeeping, timekeeping, and billing systems
Experience with recruiting, hiring, performance management, and other human resource functions
