Job Summary
On Demand Trucking is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, vehicles & equipment/trailers. Your expertise in assembling, fabricating, and repairing various components will be crucial to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
Duties
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines/trucks
Performs computer diagnostics
Performs parts diagnostics, repair, and replacement
Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential issues or safety concerns
Fabricate or modify parts as needed for repairs or upgrades
Perform brake repairs and adjustments
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns
Requirements
Ability to pass a Pre-employment Drug Test
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
3 years heavy trailer, truck equipment repair & maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle maintenance, and repair techniques
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
Familiarity with electrical systems in diesel vehicles
Valid drivers license
Class A CDL with Hazmat desirable
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
Strong communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Products
Basic knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations
