Job DescriptionPlans layout and installation of floor penetrations, lights, gear, cable tray, grounding system, and MC-HL cabling in Electrical & Process modules. Area classifications will include CI.1 div.2 & non classified locations.Housing provided for qualified out of state candidates, including per diemResponsibilities
Works cooperatively with team members to complete industrial electrical installations.
Ensure work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC, client specification and engineer drawings.
Plans installation to minimize waste of materials, provide access to future maintenance, avoid hazardous and unreliable wiring.
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
Installs Type MC-HL wiring.
Install and terminate wiring.
Reads and understands conduit drawings, schematic drawings, and specifications.
Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter.
Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
Immediately report all Incidents/Accidents, no matter how small, to their Supervisor.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Alaska Journeyman's Fitness Card or card from reciprocal state.
Commercial, Industrial and Residential experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Medium Voltage experience preferred.
Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy preferred.
