Candidates for the position of Adventure Tour Guide will be considered for the following roles. Upon completion of an application the candidate will be given the choice to build a tiered list of their preferences, but all candidates will be expected to be cross-trained and cross-functional between these operations as business needs determine.

Sea Kayak Guide - Juneau & Sitka

As a Sea Kayak Guide, you will lead clients on a kayak tour on the Pacific Ocean. You should be in good physical condition and prepared to work in inclement weather. Current CPR/First Aid certification required.

Mendenhall Lake Canoe & Kayak Guide - Juneau

As a Canoe and Kayak Guide you will lead guests on trips across Mendenhall Lake to view the Mendenhall Glacier. You should be in good physical condition and prepared to work in inclement weather. You may also assist as a shuttle driver. Current CPR/First Aid certification required.

Mendenhall River Guide - Juneau

As a river guide you will lead raft trips down approximately 5 miles of the Mendenhall River including a one-mile section of class II-III whitewater depending on water levels. You should be in good physical condition and prepared to work in inclement weather. You may also assist as a shuttle driver. Current CPR/First Aid certification required.

Hiking Guide - Ketchikan

As a Hiking Guide you will lead clients on a nature hike in the Tongass National Forest. You may also serve as a deckhand on the vessel that transports clients to and from the hiking site. You should be in good physical condition and prepared to work in inclement weather. Current CPR/First Aid certification required. If also working as a deckhand, pre-employment drug testing and enrollment in a random testing pool required.

Jeep Guide - Ketchikan

As a Jeep/Canoe guide you will lead clients on a backcountry Jeep tour on private logging roads and in 20 passenger canoes across Lake Harriet Hunt. You may also assist as a shuttle driver. You should be in good physical condition and prepared to work in inclement weather. You must be 21 years of age.

Photographer - Juneau

Take photos of guests being guided through rapids on the Mendenhall river, providing them with lasting momentos of their tour. As Retail Sales/Photographer your primary responsibility is to capture high quality digital photos of guests rafting and selling those photos, retail merchandise and beverages at trip’s end. You should be a responsible, organized salesperson and able to work independently. You should be in good physical condition and prepared to work in inclement weather.

Lead Guide- Juneau, Sitka, & Ketchikan

As a Lead Guide you perform all duties required of a guide and are responsible for ensuring employee compliance with company policies, supervising daily trip planning & operation and assisting the manager with all aspects of the operation. You should be in good physical condition and prepared to work in inclement weather. Current CPR/First aid certification required. If also working as a deckhand, pre-employment drug testing and enrollment in a random testing pool required.

Juneau - Canoe, Lake Kayaking, Sea Kayaking, River Rafting

Sitka - Sea Kayaking

Ketchikan - Jeep/Canoe, Hiking

All Adventure Tour Guide's duties will include and not be limited to:

· Providing pre-trip safety and skills briefing for the guests & operation of a safe tour

· Accurate completion of administrative paperwork

· Daily cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and facilities

· Sanitary food service during the snack portion of the tour

· Learning the information necessary to deliver an entertaining and informed narrative during the tour including flora, fauna, and natural history of the area

· Creating a positive, professional culture and work environment

· Understanding and compliance with company safety & operational policies'
