We will be hiring a Site Coordinator to oversee our Summer Hot Lunch Program operated by Kunéix Hídi Northern Light United Church. The program will provide a hot lunch to children at the Geneva Woods Housing Complex in Douglas, Monday through Friday, from June 3, 2024 to August 16, 2024. This is a temporary part-time position, approximately 25 hours per week. There will be occasional extra hours in late May and mid-August for orientation, preparation and follow up paperwork. Pay is $20-24 per hour, depending on experience, plus mileage reimbursement for work related activities. Minimum requirements: valid driver’s license and personal vehicle plus ability to pass a background check. The successful candidate will be required to complete training to acquire a Food Workers Card.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating the Summer Lunch program and planning and shopping for food and assuring food safety requirements are being followed. The Site Supervisor will organize food prep, help transport meals to Geneva Woods and be onsite during food service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with children.
