ABOUT THIS ROLE:
We’re searching for someone who has a passion for delicious foods, great service, and exceptional attention to detail to be our Assistant Fulfillment Manager. This position will primarily work alongside the Fulfillment Manager to oversee our order fulfillment operation, ensuring online and wholesale orders are shipped efficiently and accurately. This role will also spend time working in Barnacle’s production operation, helping our team bust out delicious, food-safe pantry goods in our commercial kitchen.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage Barnacle’s Fulfilment Operation
Help lead the Barnacle Foods warehouse, ensuring efficient & accurate packing & shipping of orders
Learn every day. We are a small and growing team, and how we operate changes frequently
Help oversee the fulfillment of Barnacle’s products, ensuring adherence to Barnacle’s procedures and process controls
Ensure that fulfillment processes are executed accurately, exercising attention to detail and time management skills
Recommend measures for improving work procedures and team performance to increase quality, efficiency, and job satisfaction
In the absence of the Fulfillment Manager, assume all core duties to ensure the operation continues uninterrupted
Supervise Fulfillment Team Members
Oversee and cultivate a safe, productive, and supportive work environment
Master Barnacle’s fulfillment procedures and train others
Observe and evaluate team members and work procedures to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met
Provide praise and constructive feedback for team members, redirecting as needed
Communicate clearly so that all expectations are shared and understood
Solicit and respond to feedback from team members
Provide an Outstanding Customer Experience and Inspire Brand Loyalty
Help Barnacle Foods increase the love for our products and brand by overseeing an efficient and effective fulfillment operation that leads to beautiful, accurate, and robustly packed orders
Support customers directly with shipment or order issues
Use Gorgias, send texts, and make phone calls to resolve support inquiries as efficiently as possible
Assist in the Production of Barnacle’s Product Line
Transform kelp into delicious everyday foods
As needed, work in Barnacle’s commercial kitchen to transform kelp and other flavors into tasty foods for our customers to enjoy, often peeling, cutting, dicing, measuring, mixing, filling, capping, boxing, etc.
Complete training to meet food handling requirements within 30 days of employment
Clean and sanitize equipment and tools

REQUIREMENTS:
Maintain and enforce a strict level of personal and workplace hygiene
Comply with food safety protocols for food processors
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on feet all-day
Valid driver’s license preferred
