We are seeking a working couple to join our team for the 2019 summer season in Skagway, Alaska. In exchange for approximately 35 hours/week per person, we are offering a salary of $3,000/month per couple and a Full Hook-Up RV site (30 amp) for the work term, which will begin May 13, 2019 and end on September 11, 2019. The site is a maximum of 30 feet in length.
The couple will provide campground duties at 2 separate Skagway RV Parks, located less one mile apart in the historic gold rush town of Skagway. Team members are expected to work 5 days a week / 11:30am - 7:00pm simultaneously, and can have the same consecutive 2-days off.
Duties include:
- Welcome and register guests
- Process payments
- Thoroughly clean and stock restroom facilities
- Take an active role in general upkeep of campground and facilities
- Maintain cleanliness of laundromat
- Additional duties as needed
- We encourage team members to use slow office timesĀ for creative campground projects (gardening, building log planters, decorating, etc)
We are seeking people who:
- Are polite, professional and friendly with guests.
- Are comfortable & competent using tablets, computers and basic reservation software.
- Are trustworthy and dependable.
- Are self-motivated and willing to take an active role in duties as needed.
- Are able to clean with an attention to detail.
- Have their own self-contained RV in great shape.
- Can commit to working for 17 weeks from May 13 until September 11, 2019.
- Can thrive in the variant weather conditions of a small, semi-remote town.
- Have a positive attitude and are eager to work & live in Southeast Alaska.
- Are willing and able to work as a strong team.
- Previous campground experience a plus!
