Bridge Adult Day Center

Come join our team at The Bridge Adult Day Program, providing safe, therapeutic activities for seniors in a fun-loving environment. We are currently hiring for two positions at the Bridge.

ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER: Monday-Friday 7:30am-3pm, 37.5 hours/week. Starting wage is $21-21.50/hour DOE

Develop and implement therapeutic recreation program for participants

Provide direct services to participants

Conduct assessments for participants

Maintain program notes and participant records

Work with caregivers regarding participant’s needs

Supervise staff and volunteers in the absence of the program supervisor

Record, review and/or submit client attendance hours for billing

Perform other related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to work effectively with older people, demonstrating patience, creativity, and versatility in working with people of varying abilities and disabilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Sensitivity to diversity of culture and lifestyle. Ability to work with families, professional caregivers, and community service agencies. Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with other staff. Must be well organized and able to prioritize workloads and set realistic goals for self and participants. Ability to work within time frames and meet specific deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in recreation, social services, or health care related fields preferred. Two years of experience in planning and leading activities may be substituted. Previous supervisory and/or experience with seniors preferred. Must be 21 years old.

ACTIVITY ASSISTANT: Monday-Friday 12:30-5pm, 22.5 hours/week. Starting wage is $18-18.50/hour DOE

Assisting adult day program participants with a variety of activities of daily living.

Assisting with essential program operations such as opening & closing duties, serving beverages or snacks, and leading senior exercise program.

Assist with statistical records such as client progress notes and attendance information.

Qualifications

Experience working with elders or individuals with disabilities preferred.

Experience as a Home Health Aide or CNA desirable.

Ability to work with older individuals and demonstrate patience, creativity & versatility working with people of varying abilities and disabilities.

Must have excellent communication skills.

Demonstrate sensitivity to diversity of culture and lifestyles.

Must be well organized, dependable, and prompt.

Must be 18 years old
