We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Meal Coordinator/Cook to manage our nutrition program at the Saxman-Ketchikan Senior Center. If you are passionate about cooking and nutrition, and have administrative and financial management skills, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
Manage nutrition program services, including planning and preparing meals according to program guidelines
Carry out administrative policies, maintain program records, and prepare reports
Manage senior center kitchen, ensuring it is clean and sanitary according to Alaska food service regulations and program guidelines
Oversee financial management, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and reporting
Order food and supplies and store them properly
Serve meals to clients and package for home delivered meals
Requirements:
Proven experience as a cook or meal coordinator
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong administrative and financial management skills
Knowledge of Alaska food service regulations and program guidelines
Ability to plan and prepare meals according to program guidelines
Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This position is 30 hours/week, 7:30am-1:30pm Monday through Friday. Beginning wage $25/hour. Background check required.
