The position is a Retail Sales Associate working in a fun, independent environment. We are located in the Juneau International Airport and are open year round. We are currently looking to fill 3 - 4 afternoon shifts 12:00 - 8pm.
Responsibilities
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
Receive and replenish inventory as needed
Actively seek out customers in store
Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
Process POS (point of sale) purchases including cash handling
Cross sell products
Handle returns of merchandise
Implement theft deterrent and loss prevention techniques
Comply with inventory control procedures
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and stores visual appearance
Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design)
Skills
Work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role is preferred
Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Ability to self direct and work independently
Hands-on experience with POS transactions and cash handling
Familiarity with inventory procedures
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
Social media savvy
Honest and dependable
