Catholic Community Service is looking for a dedicated individual to serve as our Fleet and Facilities Specialist. This position is expected to transport paratransit vans to and from ferry terminals and mechanic shops, communicate and schedule with mechanics, schedule ferry transportation, communicate maintenance requirements to Site Managers, inspect vehicles for damage, ensure all vehicles are equipped with required equipment and that it is good repair, detail vehicles, maintain preventative maintenance and replacement schedules, purchase and sell/dispose of vehicles, become certified as a PASS (Passenger Assistance, Safety, & Sensitivity) trainer, train and ensure certification of drivers (requires travel to different Southeast communities), ensure vehicles are registered and insured, complete grant and DOT reporting, ensure all required documentation is saved and up to date, coordinate timely facility maintenance of CCS owned and leased facilities, and coordinate repairs with contractors.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent organizational skills are essential to track vehicles and tasks.
Proficient Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge of vehicle and facility maintenance needs.
Ability to analyze data from multiple sources.
Excellent communication skills and enjoy coordinating with a team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Professional Fleet Certification is preferred.
2 years of coordination level vehicle management, project management, project scheduling, or closely related field.
Valid State of Alaska driver's license
Ability to perform physical labor such as washing vehicles, shoveling, and mowing.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Some travel is required.
Background check required
This position is Full Time, 37.5 hours/week. Starting wage is $27.18-30/hour DOE.
