Role Overview
The Pre-Construction Coordinator utilizes advanced software and industry expertise to conduct detailed takeoffs. They interpret complex architectural drawings, field-verify assumptions, and refine existing product estimates and ensure consistent quantity calculations across floor plans. Their primary objective is to maximize costs while maintaining functionality, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Core Functions
Meticulously analyze architectural plans and product specifications to quantify materials, labor, and other cost-related quantities.
Field verify PO quantities regularly.
Continuously look for ways to improve accuracy of takeoffs by improving tools, assumptions, waste factors, and advising on construction practices.
Collaborate with field teams, construction support staff, suppliers/manufacturers, and leadership to ensure thoroughness and clarity.
Navigate evolving project requirements effectively.
Maintain thorough documentation of product specifications, waste factors, calculation methodologies, drawings referenced, etc. for all takeoffs.
Report findings for stakeholders monthly. Get clarity on the next steps and keep projects moving forward.
Required Qualifications
1-3 years relevant work experience
Knowledge of construction industry
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of construction takeoff/estimation processes
Experience with Blue-Beam and 2020.
Strong math skills
Hours and Schedule
Average 40 hours per week (8am-5pm, M-F).
Travel is regularly required.
Pay
$60,000.00
