Manufacturing Technician

Job Title: Manufacturing TechnicianJob DescriptionLarge semiconductor manufacturer needs support in a clean room environment for a long-term material handling project. This role involves managing and tracking the movement of materials, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records within SAP. The schedule is 7 PM to 7 AM, alternating Wednesdays.Responsibilities

Manage and track the movement of material to ensure it is where it needs to be at the required time.

Register the movement of material and update SAP within 24 hours of any status change.

Manage the storage of material to ensure quick retrieval and prevent loss.

Physically move materials within the clean room and support transportation from the warehouse to the customer facility.

Track and register serial numbers using an RF Scanner.

Ensure materials are allocated and moved using appropriate transportation methods.

Order materials and organize transportation as required.

Inspect tools for completeness and appropriate certifications.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of tools and kits as part of the pickup and return process, including rejection of incomplete or inaccurate tools/kits.

Assist in defect resolution for incoming tools/kits.

Adhere to local and customer safety protocols and specific Ways of Working (WoW).

Essential Skills

Experience in material handling or a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with RF Scanners.

Basic Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and using search functions.

Strong communication skills for pass downs and changeovers.

Experience with SAP systems or similar complex ERP systems.

Ability to handle complex electro-mechanical components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Customer service orientation.

Strong multitasking skills.

Self-directed with the ability to seek out help and feedback when necessary.

Physical stamina for repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

Organizational skills to optimize and organize work areas efficiently.

Process improvement experience or experience in a lean manufacturing environment.

Positive, proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative.

Work EnvironmentThis role requires working in both clean room and warehouse environments. Candidates must be comfortable wearing a bunny suit for the entire shift and being on their feet all day.
