When appropriate, utilizes mental health expertise to provide short-term problem resolution, and brief evidence-based psychotherapy.Provides consultations to staff and peers regarding concerns about learner emotional well-being or behavior. Provides program orientation and office outreach sessions and collaborates with team to develop and deliver educational workshops on issues such as burnout prevention, resiliency, suicide prevention, and understanding mental health services. Collaborates with Office of Wellness & Academic Support (OWAS) leadership team to monitor outcomes of service delivery.This position is a combination of remote and onsite support work. Individual must live within driving distance to the Mayo Clinic Arizona campus.Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.Qualifications Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field. Must have 2 years post graduate experience providing short-term therapy or counseling in a mental health clinic, secondary or post-secondary school counseling service, or related human service profession. Experience working with a full range of normal life development client issues/concerns. Experience with a range of psychological disorders. Strong communication and teaching/training skills. Eligible for independent clinical licensure (LICSW, LP, LPC, LPCC, or similar) across Enterprise locations.Essential Job Functions:Must possess the ability to provide a healing, safe, and therapeutic relationship between the clinician and client. Must have the ability to maintain strong interpersonal boundaries and protect client confidentiality in a complex work/school environment. Must be able to implement empirically-validated brief therapy techniques.
