Job OverviewSummary / ObjectiveThe Payroll Administrator perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the accurate and efficient processing of payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees. Essential FunctionsCompiles payroll data such as hours worked; sales volume, bonuses, and commissions; monies to be withheld for taxes; employee contributions to insurance and retirement plans; from time sheets and other recordsComputes wages and deductions, reviews for accuracy, and posts to payroll recordsUpdates master payroll records by verifying and recording changes affecting net wages including but not limited to federal and state tax exemptions, insurance coverage, required and voluntary deductions, compensation increases, promotions, and / or transfer of employees between departmentsPrepares and issues paychecks in paper and digital formatsKeeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wagesPrepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions. This includes weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually or on requestPrepares and files all hiring and termination paperwork in coordination with the human resources departmentMaintains records for leave eligibility including but not limited to vacations, holidays, PT) sick leave and any required state or federal required leave eligibility.Processes employee insurance forms and payments in coordination with human resources departmentMaintains compliance with all company policies and procedures for payroll processUnderstands the rules and regulations associated with payroll processing at the state and federal levelFollows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standardsFollows the Company Code of Business Ethics and ConductUpholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreementsUnderstands and follow all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from SupervisorsMaintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policyAttends pertinent training on request.Attends company meetings as required.Other duties as assignedOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
