We are seeking an experienced server/bartender to join our team. Candidates with a background in fine dining restaurants, high-end hospitality venues, or craft cocktail bars are highly preferred. Leadership skills, experience in training, and extensive food and service knowledge are a plus. The successful candidate must complete and pass our established training protocols before taking on higher managerial responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assign Front of House (FOH) team members to daily operational tasks.
- Lead and train the FOH team in service standards, side work, and menu knowledge.
- Prepare the dining room for service by completing opening side work.
- Greet and welcome guests professionally, guiding them through the menu and making recommendations.
- Accurately take and enter guest orders into the POS system.
- Provide friendly and courteous engagement with guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
- Address guest concerns and resolve any issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
- Collect and process payments efficiently.
- Support Back of House (BOH) staff as needed.
- Clean and sanitize service areas, utensils, glasses, and equipment following safety protocols.
- Safely dispose of garbage as directed.
- Complete closing side work to ensure the restaurant is prepared for the next day.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience in fine dining, high-end hospitality, or craft cocktail environments.
- Strong leadership and training skills, with extensive knowledge of food and service.
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking methods is a plus.
- High level of professionalism and reliability in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
- Positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure within a small team.
- Capable of delivering high-quality work independently.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems (e.g., TOAST) and restaurant booking platforms (e.g., OPENTABLE).
- Knowledge of proper handling techniques for plates, utensils, and glassware to avoid spillage.
- Valid City/State Food Handlers Card.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
