Estimator for General Contracting Remodels and Insurance Remediation/Restoration

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team.
We are looking for an experienced Estimator who will play a pivotal role in our project management process. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in estimating costs, preparing bids, and managing budgets for general contracting remodels and insurance remediation/restoration projects. This individual will collaborate closely with our project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate estimations and successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and competitive bids for general contracting remodels and insurance remediation/restoration projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain pricing and quotes.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements and budgetary constraints.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimations.
- Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and enhance accuracy.
- Prepare and present estimates, budgets, and proposals to clients, stakeholders, and management.
- Monitor and track project expenses, budgets, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to address any questions, concerns, or modifications related to estimates and budgets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with specific expertise in general contracting remodels and insurance remediation/restoration projects.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
