wanted an experienced Landscape Spray Technician for an established landscape design, construction, and maintenance company with insurance and PTO benefits. The ideal candidate will have prior landscape spray technician experience, 2-3 years, be professional, and have a positive "Can-Do" attitude, be a self-starter, desire to be at their best every day, and want to be a part of a growing organization. We are looking for someone who can think on their feet, multi-task, and is self-motivated. We are seeking professional Spray Technicians to perform fertilization and chemical applications on commercial and residential properties for our Phoenix market.

The Landscape Spray Technician applies chemical treatments to control weeds and insects, and performs other tasks as required to maintain the community’s communities and common areas assigned. As a spray technician you will work to maintain a safe, secure, and attractive community, and complete a variety of landscaping and maintenance tasks in the community.

This is physically demanding. Must have a certified Chemical Applicators license by the Pest Management Division of the Arizona Department of Agriculture. Certification Categories; Turf & Ornamental, and Right-of-Way.

Must have a Valid Arizona’s driver’s license. Must be able to E- verify and drug test.

Job Responsibilities and Skills needed:

Math skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately per chemical label instructions.

Must be certified as a Chemical Applicator by the Pest Management Division of the Arizona Department of Agriculture.

Certification Categories; Turf & Ornamental, and Right-of-Way

Arizona Driver’s License, Good MVR A clean driving record and background is required.

Demonstrate compliance of all requirements for the use of personal safety equipment

Correctly maintain required records. Complete and submit all required reports (chemical records, equipment repair requests, tool inventories and vehicle inspection reports) within the specified time.

Accurately identify the names of common desert plants.

Identify turf diseases, fungi & insect issues in turf and ornamental in the field

Comprehensive knowledge of up-to-date chemical variations and their uses.

Ability to accurately calibrate application equipment.

Properly measure and apply chemicals and fertilizers

Perform minor repairs on application equipment including hose repairs, nozzle, and strainer malfunctions, fuses, and overall equipment operation

Effectively and correctly inspect chemical supplies inventories.

Perform the chemical and fertilizer applications on assigned properties.

Monitor landscape health and care needs. Tech diagnoses primary turf problems and basic pest identification.

Tech must take a proactive approach to safety by attending all required field safety training and utilizing proper safety equipment.

Must have a sense of ownership of responsibilities.

Strong communication skills

They help diagnose specific diseases and treat insects that affect critical areas. As well as identify and treat unwanted vegetation, using both preventative and curative methods.

Clean vehicle & equipment on a routine basis and maintain in good working condition.

Keep all licenses, training, and general pest control knowledge up to date

Highly organized, Dependable, People-oriented, Adaptable/flexible, Detail-oriented, pleasant, professional, and well-spoken with excellent verbal and written communication

Ability to work independently in an environment that encompasses multi-tasking, time constraints/deadlines.

Self-Starter, punctual, and dependable

Strong customer, quality, and results oriented.

Proficient in knowledge of maintaining and upkeep of company equipment.

Experience driving trucks and trailers and operating landscape spray equipment.

Work outside in AZ conditions.
