Precision Aerospace Machine Shop in Chandler, seeking CNC Mill Machinist.
Must have the ability to setup and operate vertical CNC Mills.
Minimum of 8 years CNC Mill set-up experience required.
5 Axis CNC Mill operation experience is a plus.
Apply knowledge of Machining characteristics to a variety of materials including Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Plastics. (Feeds & Speeds, etc)
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be self-motivated and team player.
Must be able to follow instructions.
Must have knowledge of G and M codes.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Essential Duties:
Set-up fixtures, tools, and programs for the operation of machines for NPI and repeat jobs.
Load and Edit CNC Programs as needed for Mill.
Follow Tool Data Sheets for Mill setup and operation.
Follow Setup Instructions for Mill setup and operation.
Load, Unload, Start, and Stop Machines.
Some hand deburr of work-pieces to ensure edge breaks meet drawing specifications.
Monitor the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.
In process inspection of work-pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Measure dimensions of finished work-pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Adjust machine feeds and speeds, change cutting tools, and/or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if the machine malfunctions.
Monitor coolant levels and refill if needed.
Additional miscellaneous machine shop duties will be required, assist with operations when shorthanded. (Inspection, Saw Cutting, Shipping, Receiving, Deburr, etc…)
