Description:
Qualitas Machining & Automation seeks a motivated and reliable Shop Hand to support daily operations in our CNC machining and welding fabrication shop. This hands-on role offers foundational experience in a fast-growing precision manufacturing environment.
Duties Include:
Operate bandsaws and cold saws to cut materials
Assist with powder coating, black oxide, and heat-treat processes
Load/unload parts for finishing operations
Sweep, clean, and maintain shop floor and workstations
Empty scrap bins and manage waste/recycling
Deburr parts, clean/oil machines, and deliver tools/materials
Support machinists, welders, and assemblers as needed
Conduct basic part inspections and help maintain quality and safety
Requirements:
Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
Attention to detail and shop safety awareness
Preferred (not required):
Prior shop or fabrication exposure
Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring instruments
Forklift certification or willingness to train
