We are looking for someone to join our growing fabrication company and work as an estimator. We are looking for talented hardworking professionals who like meeting new challenges and enjoy the variety of doing different projects to showcase their skills while working on a schedule.
A background in steel, metal fabrication, construction, or manufacturing would be ideal. We are looking for an estimator to jump right in but are willing to train the right person. Standard hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
EXPERIENCE:
Blueprint Reading: 3 years (Required)
Basic knowledge of Office Programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook (Required)
Estimating: 3 years (Preferred)

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze blueprints, customer drawings, specifications, and other related documents to prepare cost, material, and labor estimates
Monitor purchasing and shop performance for existing jobs. Assist the company in job costing reporting to improve both estimating and production accuracy and efficiency.
Answer questions from customers regarding quotes and sales.
Solicit pricing from material vendors
Prepare formal quotes and scope list
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates should be able to clearly articulate bid inclusions, exclusions, and proposal clarifications with owners and subcontractors
