Job Summary:

The Fabrication and Print Estimator will report directly to the Solutions Group Manager.

The Fabrication and Print Estimator must be qualified to read architectural plans, interpret

renderings, drawings, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate signage

estimates, bids, and quotes. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Review, interpret, process takeoffs from architectural drawings and or concept drawings, renders

or sketches, to accurately determine material and labor costs.

Produce estimates for all manufacturing and installation of projects.

Secure manufacturing/installation costs from wholesale vendors and sub-contractors. Work with

purchasing, sales, design, and production to deliver completed estimate within allowable time.

Work with purchasing to solicit and collect material costs.

Work with production to establish fabrication rates and options for fabrication methods.

Ensure accuracy of estimates and estimating process

Solicit feedback from production to improve estimating accuracy.

Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

Contribute to team efforts by performing other duties within the Solutions Group, as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Extensive knowledge of sign construction, materials, and installation methods.

Extensive knowledge of large format printing, materials, and installation methods

Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft 365 programs.

Experience with companywide software systems.

Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.

Well organized with excellent time management skills.

Demonstrate strong attention to detail to both the designs and the related costs.

Ability to interface with production managers and the individual project managers.

Communicate effectively with peers.

Provide a positive influence.

Demonstrate ownership and accountability for the goals of the organization.

Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to

evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree preferred

Experience with Corebridge, Smartsheets, ERP, a plus

Proficient in Microsoft 365

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Exposed to normal office environment, attached manufacturing warehouse.

Ability to interface within sales, manufacturing, and operations areas.
