Job Summary: The Machine Shop Assistant & Delivery Driver will support shop operations by assisting with machine setup, maintenance, and general shop tasks while also handling delivery and pickup of materials and products. This dual role is essential for maintaining shop efficiency and ensuring timely delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Shop Assistant Duties:
Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of machines and equipment, including [e.g., lathes, CNC milling machines, Powder Coat equipment, etc.]
Prepare and measure materials for machining, including cutting, shaping, and finishing.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
Follow shop orders and instructions from the shop supervisor or lead machinist.
Delivery Driver Duties:
Safely and efficiently drive company vehicles to deliver and pick up materials and products to and from clients and suppliers.
Ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation for all deliveries and pickups.
Load and unload materials and products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when interacting with clients and customers.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding vehicle operation and safety.
Must have valid drivers’ license and be insurable.
