We are looking for Millwright/ Industrial Mechanic Lead to join our team in Arizona!
The ideal candidate must have millwright/industrial mechanic experience.
Copperstate Machine and Industrial Services LLC is looking to grow its installation team as the company expands to serve clients across the United States in the water and wastewater industry.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work for a growing organization and be a meaningful part of the team that is renovating, replacing, and innovating water and wastewater processing equipment for municipalities all over the United States. Successful applicants will receive relevant training specific to the role.
Essential Millwright/ Industrial Mechanic Team Lead Duties:
Promptly troubleshoot, process, and mechanical problems
Perform basic maintenance, repair, and calibration
Overhaul machinery by tearing down equipment and repairing or replacing damaged machine parts
Operate mechanical equipment to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs
Care for and use hand tools in the repair of equipment and structures
Perform all general preventative maintenance duties such as greasing, oiling, etc.
Dismantles machines & equipment to gain access to problem area, using hand/power tools
Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs
Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of the product
Order parts needed for special projects, routine maintenance requirements, spare parts, tools and equipment needed
Keeps management informed of activities
Responds to plant emergencies
Perform in a safe manner that is in accordance with the site-specific safety program
Ensures the safe operation of equipment, systems and facilities
Repairs wastewater systems, equipment, and components
Know how to work with crane operators
Essential Team Lead Duties:
◦ Able to physically work on job and run crew while overseeing the project
◦ Report to GM/ Job Coordinator
◦ Manage and run 2 to 4 jobs at one Time
◦ Plan and coordinate all assigned Jobs
◦ Work directly with clients and vendors to effectively execute jobs
◦ Maintain Budget on all jobs
◦ Physically run planned jobs
◦ Physically work in shop and office
◦ Requires Signed NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement)
◦ 1yr with the company as a Team Lead (Preferred)
◦ 2+ years trade experience (Millwright / Industrial Mechanic or Welder or Machinist)
◦ Work with JC to schedule projects
◦ Work with JC to manage shop work
◦ Work directly with Sales Rep and Customer, manage customer experience and relationship
◦ Implement and follow all company and OSHA Safety Practices
◦ Implement and follow all company QC documentation
◦ Job close out (complete documentation, photos uploaded, and inspection reports)
◦ Complete employee and peer reviews as necessary
◦ Train Crew and Coworkers
◦ Uphold company standards in a professional manner
Requirements
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and other types of malfunctions of machinery and equipment
Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructions
Knowledge of application, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
Ability to fly and travel to job sites around the U.S. 5 to 10 days a month
Valid Driver’s License to drive company trucks and trailers when required
Background and drug testing
Physical Environment
Lift tools, machinery parts, and other objects weighing up to 80 pounds each
Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching
Standing for extended periods of time
Able to work all day outside on job sites for 12hrs
Schedule
8am to 5pm Monday-Friday (shop hours)
8 to 12+hr work days while in the field
Work Location
Shop: Queen Creek Arizona
Field Work: multiple locations nationwide
Education (Preferred)
High school or equivalent
OSHA 30
Able to demonstrate understanding of Audel Millwright & Mechanic’s Guide (5th Edition)
Able to demonstrate understanding of NCCER millwright 1-3 skill sets
Demonstrate understanding of NCCER mentoring for craft professionals skill sets
Demonstrate understanding of NCCER fundamentals of crew leadership skill sets
Preferred
Industrial Mechanic experience (2+ years)
Machinist Experience running mills, lathes, and drill press
Welding / Fabricating experience (Mig and Tig)
Able to read blue prints
Industrial painting experience
Water and wastewater maintenance experience
