JOB TITLE: TOOL & DIE MAKER
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
Pay Range: $24-$28 an hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team at TCG Staffing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and repairing tools, dies, and jigs used in manufacturing processes. This role requires precision, expertise in machine tools, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment to ensure the production of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to design and build tools, dies, and jigs.
Operate and maintain machines such as CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders to create parts and tools.
Assemble and fit components into tools, dies, or molds, ensuring accuracy and alignment.
Perform inspections and quality checks on tools, dies, and parts to meet industry standards.
Modify and repair existing tools and dies to correct issues or improve functionality.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure tools meet production requirements and schedules.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Maintain detailed records of tool maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship program preferred.
3-5 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker or similar role.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Experience with CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other machining equipment.
Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tool design.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a factory environment.
Comfortable using various hand tools and power tools.
