Job Description:
As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the machinery, equipment, and systems used in our ice manufacturing plant. Your technical expertise in both plumbing and electrical work will be crucial in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and repair of water vending machines
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including ice-making machines and refrigeration systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, motors, and control panels.
Conduct plumbing maintenance and repairs, including piping, water supply, and drainage systems.
Collaborate with the operations team to minimize downtime and improve plant efficiency.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure all equipment operates at optimal levels.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or potential improvements to management.
Assist with equipment installations and upgrades as needed.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in plant maintenance, with strong technical knowledge of both plumbing and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with ice manufacturing or food processing equipment is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or plumbing preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in plant maintenance or a related field.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in cold conditions.
