Position Summary:

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for production scheduling? We are a contract manufacturer of plastic and metal components supporting the aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and medical industries. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Planner/Scheduler to join our team.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery with minimal inventory. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, mitigate risks, and drive operational efficiency. Location: Tempe (Priest & Southern)

Shift: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Benefits: Eligible after 90 days (health, dental, vision, PTO, IRA w/match)

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop detailed, logic-tied production schedules aligned with contract milestones and deliverables.

Monitor workflow progress and update schedules regularly to identify potential delays or risks.

Create and distribute production workflow packets for production teams.

Review and adjust forecasts to ensure on-time deliveries.

Resolve scheduling conflicts and identify bottlenecks, including forward/reverse scheduling methods.

Perform weekly open order report updates and communicate schedule changes to stakeholders.

Track and expedite parts/work orders through the manufacturing process to minimize delays.

Coordinate interdepartmental activities with Program Management, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering.

Ensure production schedules reflect customer requirements and manufacturing constraints.

Provide regular updates to management on production priorities and schedule status.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials management, and inventory control.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and develop contingency plans.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Proactive approach to identifying and solving scheduling issues.

Ability to balance competing priorities while ensuring efficient use of resources.

Knowledge of cycle times, production forecasting, and manufacturing shop floor dynamics.
