BILLING SPECIALIST
National utility billing & utility submetering company with an office in North Scottsdale, AZ has an immediate need for a full-time billing specialist to join its billing staff, which staff performs the monthly utility billing of tenants in our customers’ apartment complexes, condominium developments, mobile home parks and commercial properties. This is also known as third party billing.
The corporate culture is very relaxed, with a casual dress policy, the office operates with significant autonomy, and is conveniently located near the Scottsdale Airpark.
Candidates with a background in utility billing, utility submetering, utility rates, routine monthly billing, property management, project management, accounting and/or mathematics are preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Download and enter monthly utility meter readings;
Gathering monthly billing data, generate & mail tenants’ monthly utility bills;
Generate automated monthly reports for each property;
Learn and utilize proprietary utility billing software;
Respond to customer service requests.

Skills & Qualifications:
Associates degree preferred;
Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications;
Billing experience preferred;
Utility rate experience a plus;
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, accurate, & comfortable with recurring monthly deadlines;
Good work ethic, self-starter with reliable attendance;
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and pleasant phone manor;
Capable in basic math;
10-key touch typing skills required;
Spanish as second language preferred;
Must be a positive person with a glass half full attitude;
Sense of humor a plus.
Compensation dependent on experience.
