Position Overview:
As a Fleet Mechanic specializing in tree and landscape equipment, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing our fleet to ensure optimal functionality and safety. From dump trucks to chippers, your expertise will be essential in keeping our equipment in top condition, enabling our teams to deliver efficient and reliable services.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on dump trucks, trailers, chippers, stump grinders, and other landscape equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, conducting repairs as necessary to minimize downtime.
Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and proactively address maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and service schedules.
Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize equipment servicing and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with expertise in servicing fleet vehicles and landscape equipment.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Familiarity with 2-cycle engines and related equipment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Certification from a technical school or equivalent experience is preferred.
