$22.50 per hour+mileage+1 week paid vacation+Health Care- Handyman-Minor Renovation Specialist - FULL TIME
Foothills Renovation and Canam Realty together have been assisting their clients with renovations to their homes and condos for nearly 20 years. We are looking for an experienced individual for a full-time position to conduct minor renovations to these residential homes to prepare them for sale or to move into. Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently over time, climb ladders, and work outside in the summer at times. All major work is subcontracted to painting contractors and carpet installers. Preparation of the properties before the contractors show up is required. This individual must be able to follow a list of renovations and be able to handle doing multitude of tasks. This would include preparing the home for paint and carpet or granite countertop installations by others. Replacing lights and ceiling fans, changing out electric boxes and switches. General Plumbing such as replacing taps, toilets and fixing leaks. Occasional yard maintenance, tree trimming, and irrigation service and repairs are required.
You would must be able to work independently with a helper and follow the instructions of our construction manager. Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm in the winter. The ideal candidate must have multiple skill sets such as:
Proficient in general maintenance, repairs, and clean-up.
General plumbing repair and installation.
Minor plumbing (install toilets, fixtures, etc)
Minor electrical (relocate outlets/switches, install ceiling fans, etc)
Install doors and knobs/hinges/door stoppers
General Electrical repair and installation.
General repair of irrigation system, changing pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads.
Light tree trimming.
General clean-up and maintenance.
In addition, the ideal candidate will be:
1. Dependable, reliable, and responsible.
2. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
3. Must have references.
4. Must have proper work documents.
5. Must be able to self-manage.
7. Must have at least 4 years of maintenance and handyman experience.
One should have a set of basic tools. Any major tools such as ladders and saws provided by the company.
A mileage allowance is provided as we cover most of the city and a fair amount of driving is required.
A health care package is available.
One must have a good functioning phone to receive texts and emails.
Being fluent in English is a must and some Spanish would be a bonus.
