Job Title: QA/QC Welding Inspector
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour
Shifts: Must be open to any shift
About the Role:
RecruitGigs is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Welding Inspector for a manufacturing facility in Stockton, CA. This position is critical to ensure that all fabricated materials meet company standards and industry codes. You’ll play a key role in inspecting structural steel components used in major commercial, industrial, and bridge projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform dimensional and visual inspections of fabricated parts and final welds
Ensure materials conform to drawings, codes, and specifications
Maintain detailed inspection records for quality assurance
Coordinate with production teams and identify fabrication discrepancies
Assist with interpretation of drawings and specifications on the shop floor
Support customer inspectors during walkthroughs and audits
Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures at all times
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training in metals/fabrication a plus)
Minimum 3 years of related experience in steel fabrication or quality control
Strong understanding of AISC and AWS welding codes and dimensional tolerances
Ability to read and interpret structural steel blueprints and technical documents
Familiarity with inspection tools (tape measure, weld gauges, levels, etc.)
Prior or current certification such as CAWI, AWS-CWI, or equivalent (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with Bluebeam PDF is a plus
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in environments with noise, heat, or dust
Must be able to wear PPE (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
