Diesel and Equipment Mechanic Qualifications
EnCon Arizona LLC, dba TPAC Concrete Company, is a major producer of precast concrete products for the commercial construction industry. We specialize in architectural products as well as bridge components for the Phoenix area. We are looking for an experienced Diesel/ Equipment Mechanic. This is a Full-time Local 12 Operators union position.
Experience:
-Experience in troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines.
-Knowledge in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic systems.
-Diagnosing and repairing 6, 12, and 24-volt electrical systems.
-Familiar with electronic and computer controls of equipment.
-Able to perform Federal Annual Inspections on Class 8 Trailers and smaller.
-Knowledge of air brake and air systems, including antilock brake systems.
-Familiar with automotive-type A/C systems.
-Welding and fabricating. Stick and Mig welding.
-Able to operate various types of equipment.
-A plus if experienced in 120–460-volt systems and equipment.
-A plus if experienced with concrete batch plant operation and repair.
Responsibilities:
-Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
-Conduct routine maintenance, including brake repair, transmission service, and hydraulic system checks.
-Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
-Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
-Adhere to safety protocols while lifting heavy equipment and operating machinery.
Qualifications:
-Diesel engine repair: 5 years preferred
-Must have vailed Driver's License.
-TPAC is a zero-tolerance drug-free workplace. Applicants must be able to pass pre-employment and regular post-employment, random drug screens.
Schedule:
0300-0500am Start time may vary
-10-hour shift
-8-hour shift
-Monday to Friday
-On call
-Overtime
-Weekend availability
Pay: 32.50 per hour DOE and Certifications
