PDW Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring Full Time Automotive Mechanics for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. Automotive Mechanics will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Mechanics will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions. This position is located in Phoenix, AZ. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Full Time Automotive Mechanics position below are strongly encouraged to apply. AM Day shift available.
Responsibilities:
Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections
Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components
Read, interpret, and follow service procedures
Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders
Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up
Shifts:
AM Day Shift: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00/hr. (Depending on experience)

Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to travel 50% of the time
Minimum 2 years' automotive technician / mechanic experience or equivalent military experience
Mechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipment
Good attention to detail and organizational skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Has own tools with rolling toolbox and be able to work overtime and weekends
Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
Ability to stand, sit, talk, and hear, use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone in an office environment
Ability to frequently stand, walk, or sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and to regularly reach with hands and arms
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Preferred Skills:
Certificate in Automotive Technology or related
National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s)
State Mechanic Certification(s)
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers
