Accounts Payable Specialist

Description Join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist and contribute to the financial health of a large health network in Tucson. As a temporary-to-hire employee, you will play a crucial role in processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors. Your responsibilities will include verifying and coding invoices, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with month-end close processes. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Prior experience in accounts payable and familiarity with healthcare billing systems are preferred. Verify the accuracy and validity of invoices, check requests, and credit memos.

Process invoices and credit memos efficiently, ensuring accurate coding.

Investigate and resolve invoice and payment processing issues promptly.

Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding inquiries.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, providing feedback for improvement.

Assist with researching and resolving payment issues, including voiding and reissuing payments.

Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and vendor information.

Monitor vendor debit balances and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.

Collaborate with procurement and other departments to resolve discrepancies.

Process company purchasing cards and assist with form 1099s reporting.

Support year-end audit activities.

Adhere to organizational values and safety, confidentiality, and other policies.

Requirements

At least 1 year experience in processing Accounts Payable

High volume experience in matching, batching, coding invoices

Experienced in MS Excel

Great communication skills and able to work as a team
