Description Robert Half is urgently seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Tucson, Arizona area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk tasks will consist of matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.How you will make an impact
Provide support during internal and external audits
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Carry out additional projects as required
Requirements - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Strong attention to detail
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
