What You'll Be Doing:Analyze and compile estimate data affecting the cost of labor, materials, equipment, location, and other factors to ensure a high-quality, timely estimateReview drawings, specifications, and proposed project site conditions; record findings and solicit input from field operations for inclusion in the final estimateAnalyze alternative solutions and construction methods to increase the competitiveness of each bidReview take-off quantities to ensure the accuracy of data used in estimatesUtilize existing cost history and estimating software to complete estimates efficiently and accuratelyApply advanced mathematical and analytical processes to ensure estimated costs are accuratePresent estimates and participate in bid reviews with senior management to confirm accuracy and completenessCommunicate with owners, subcontractors, and public and private entities to ensure competitivenessCommunicate estimate and bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings to ensure a clear understanding of project scopeDevelop and maintain business relationships that increase bid opportunities in the local marketSupervise, direct, and mentor estimating staff to support individual development and uphold company standardsParticipate in and/or lead Design-Build projects to ensure high-quality estimatesAdditional responsibilities may apply beyond those listed aboveExperience10+ years of estimating experience
Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), AGTEK Take-off, and Primavera Scheduling software
Advanced knowledge of civil engineering and construction principles
