As our line cook you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional food using proven recipes, techniques and always maintain exemplary food safety standards
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be a proven team player with a passion for the presentation of quality dishes, having a strong work ethic. Play a pivotal role in Claire’s cafe tradition of delivering excellent menu items consistently.
Responsibilities:
1. Assure the quality and timeliness of dishes through use of all cooking equipment ( ie ovens, stove, griddles, deep fryer)
2. Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary work area.
3. Coordinates with other staff to ensure consistent work flow.
4. Collaborates with kitchen staff including severs on the timing and coordination of customers orders.
5. Maintains a positive attitude
6. Promotes working together as a team in a respectful work environment.
7. Handles food in accordance with all Claire’s cafe guidelines and health department requirements.
8. Is well acquainted with all menu items.
9. Able to reach bend and lift 50 lbs.
10. Stand for prolonged periods.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a line cook or equivalent.
2. Ability to work successfully as a team member or independent as needed.
3. High attention to detail.
4. Working knowledge of food sanitation and safety.
5. Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
6. Weekends available.
7. Own or reliable transportation.
