Argus Machine has a need for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinists in their precision machine shop facility. Our company is a growing job shop that manufactures tight tolerance components for multiple local industries.
Job Description:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual that has good machining discipline and experience with tight tolerance machining to work in our clean, friendly environment.
Job Requirements:
- Program Haas CNC and Okuma lathes using computer aided manufacturing software, set-up machine parameters, and verify program functionality for many different components.
- CNC Machinist should have 10+ years in the industry and fully capable of performing his own setups and have demonstrated low scrap levels with past companies.
- Ability to do all shop math functions associated with inspection procedures and/or setups.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T).
- Maintain traveler package, complete and maintain appropriate quality records and data entry, and physically move product within the department.
- Full working knowledge of all types of precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Ability to read G-code and make programming changes at the machine
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with machine operators, peers, and management.
- Able to lift, load and handle various size production parts up to and including 50 pounds.
- Must have demonstrated ability to take initiative, be proactive and act with minimal oversight/direct supervision. Must be disciplined in good machining techniques and willing to be trained to our method of running jobs.
- Must be accurate, clean, and detailed.
- Good attendance and communication skills.
- Must be honest.
- Hands on knowledge of tooling and cutters, fixturing and machining set-ups.
- Must have own basic tools and measuring instruments.
- References must be available and will be checked.
- Must be able to pass drug test.
