P4Swiss Lindel is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in inspecting aerospace parts and a strong ability to read and interpret GD&T blueprints. This role is crucial in ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Discus Bubble Diagrams: Create and use bubble diagrams for marking blueprint drawing requirements with DISCUS or similar ballooning software, ensuring all critical inspection points are identified and documented accurately.
Interpreting Drawing Notes: Accurately interpret drawing notes, including material specifications and outside process requirements, to ensure that parts meet all customer and industry specifications.
Inspection of Aerospace Parts: Perform precise inspections of aerospace parts, ensuring they meet all blueprint specifications and industry standards.
GD&T Blueprint Reading: Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to accurately assess parts against blueprints and technical drawings.
Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation for First Article Inspections (FAI), inspection reports, and material certifications, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Collaborative Review: Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure inspection criteria are fully understood and applied correctly.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancements and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably within the aerospace industry.
Proficiency in creating bubble diagrams using DISCUS or similar software.
Strong ability to interpret drawing notes related to materials, outside processes, and other specifications.
Experience in inspecting aerospace parts with a strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and documentation.
Proficiency in GD&T blueprint reading and interpretation.
ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification preferred but not required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed and accurate documentation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in quality inspection or a related field are a plus.
ASQ certification preferred but not required.
3 to 5 years of experience in quality inspection, with a focus on aerospace parts, DISCUS software, and GD&T blueprint reading.
