Position Overview:
We’re hiring an experienced Remodeling Technician to work directly alongside our lead contractor. Stoney Hill Construction values faith, family, and trust, and we’re looking for someone who shares those principles. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who’s motivated to grow into a leadership position and be part of our close-knit team. Eventually, this role may expand to lead field operations, allowing our owner to focus on business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform remodeling tasks including demolition, framing, drywall, tile work, cabinetry, trim work, and painting.
Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and organized, delegating cleanup to the apprentice as needed.
Manage client interactions professionally, answering questions and providing updates.
Take responsibility for the job site when the lead contractor is off-site, ensuring smooth progress and maintaining quality standards.
Assist in training and guiding the apprentice on best practices.
Oversee job site materials and tools, ensuring the company vehicle is stocked and organized (if promoted to a leadership role).
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction trades, ideally with hands-on experience in remodeling.
Strong attention to detail, work quality, and safety standards.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record for the past two years.
Professional demeanor, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
Willingness to adapt and learn new techniques as part of our commitment to quality.
Compensation:
$25 - $30 per hour to start, based on experience.
Potential for growth into a Foreman role, with additional responsibilities and leadership opportunities.
